Jonathan van Zijl

I started working as medical doctor and researcher at the department of Neurology and Neurosurgery (UMCG) in November 2014. At the University of Groningen I studied Biomedical Sciences and Medicine. After graduating as medical doctor, I started with great pleasure working on my PhD. The topic is Deep Brain Stimulation and herein we study a specific (brain) biomarker that might be used for the development of smart, automated DBS devices. Next to this, I am involved in a research project that studies certain movement disorders that can occur in patients with post-anoxic encephalopathy.
