Dr. A. Smid

Dr. Annemarie Smid is sinds 1 juli 2023 onderdeel van het DBS-dystonie team.

Annemarie heeft van 2013-2020 Technische Geneeskunde gestudeerd aan de Universiteit Twente in Enschede. Ze heeft haar promotieonderzoek naar het objectief meten van bewegingssymptomen, vanuit de afdeling Neurochirurgie van het UMCG, afgerond in maart 2026. Tijdens dit promotieonderzoek nam ze als Technisch Geneeskundige de DBS-zorg voor dystonie patiënten op zich.

Dr. Annemarie Smid is part of the DBS dystonia team since 1 July 2023.

Annemarie studied Technical Medicine from 2013-2020 at the University of Twente in Enschede. She completed her PhD research on objectively measuring movement symptoms at the department of Neurosurgery at the UMCG in March 2026. During her PhD project, she took on the DBS-related care for dystonia patients as Technical Physician.
