Point for Parkinson's welcomes its 500th patient

Only three months after 'Point for Parkinson’s' (Dutch: Punt voor Parkinson) has openend its doors, the Parkinson’s expertise centre welcomed its 500th patient.

Point for Parkinson’s is the Parkinson expertise center in the Northern part of the Netherlands and aims to centralize the knowledge and expertise on the care for Parkinson patients. This center is an initiative of the Martini Hospital Groningen, the University Medical Center Groningen and Zorggroep Groningen, and is located in the city of Groningen.

On Augustus 18th, the expertise center reached a milestone by welcoming its 500th patient. Mrs. De Vries-de Vlas received flowers and expressed her appreciation for Point for Parkinson’s. “I believe this center really improves the care for Parkinson patients, since all expertise is on one location and you always have the same caregivers.”
