Dr. Jeroen de Vries at the ERN-RND meeting in Leuven!
Last September, Dr. Jeroen de Vries participated in the annual meeting of the European Reference Network for Rare Neurological Diseases (ERN-RND). During this meeting, many professionals came together to share the latest updates and insights regarding care for patients with a rare neurological disorder.
The European Reference Network is an international network to support patients with rare disorders and their family. When dealing with a rare disorder, it can happen that in the country of residence there is lack of knowledge about the disorder. Through the ERN-RND, caregivers and professionals can share knowledge and insights with regards to (ultra)rare disorders, which enables them to help patients better. For many conditions there are separate networks within the ERN, also for rare neurological disorders which is referred to as the ERN-RND.
