Northsea Disease in Dagblad van het Noorden
Het dagblad van het Noorden, a Dutch newspaper, published a extensive article on the North Sea Disease this weekend.
In the article, Luna's story was told. She is one of the young patients who suffer from this rare disorder. Because North Sea Disease is very rare, not much is known about the mechanism and treatment. Therefore Luna's parents have set up a fund to collect money for more research. Tom de Koning, pediatrician and geneticist, explained what is known of the background of this inheritable disorder and the research that is being done in the UMCG.
